Creating Characters

In this workshop, we will explore the foundation of creating authentic, truthful characters

Description

In this workshop, we will explore the foundation of creating authentic, truthful characters. Honest characters are more than just a quirky voice or a funny walk—they have depth, motivation, and purpose. Together, we’ll dive into how these characters move, speak, and interact with their surroundings. What stories do they carry? And how can you unearth them from within yourself? Using a series of dynamic exercises, you’ll gain tools and techniques to build compelling, fully-realized characters that feel true to who they are. Once we’ve developed these characters, we’ll bring them to life through scene work, exploring how they evolve and respond in different contexts. Whether you’re looking to enhance your performance skills or deepen your creative process, this workshop will help you uncover the unique characters waiting to emerge from within you.
