Improv Diversity Scholarship
Stranger than Fiction is committed to ensuring that individuals in historically underrepresented communities have an opportunity to learn improv, regardless of their financial situation.

The recipient of this scholarship will receive free tuition to our upcoming Improv 101 course, which will be held on Saturday afternoons from 1-3pm, beginning on January 31, 2026, and concluding on March 7, 2026.*

Who should apply?
Anyone who self-identifies a member of a community that is historically underrepresented in improv and comedy is welcome to apply, especially if they have a financial need that would prevent them from otherwise enrolling in a class. Historically marginalized groups
-
Women and other gender minorities
-
Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC)
-
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community
-
People who have disabilities
-
People in a less-represented age group compared to the typical student population (50+)
Deadline to Apply: Friday, January 23, 2026 by 11:59pm ET

*If, in the event this class is cancelled, the scholarship recipient will instead receive free tuition to another STF class of their choosing.
