Service Description

Many people who love improv feel foiled by the addition of singing and music, not because of the improvisation or idea generation, but how to put their voice onto notes and patterns that work with the music. In this workshop, we'll explore and practice the basics of singing: matching pitch, singing in time and in rhythm, keeping beat, moving between notes within a chord, and more. Through warmups, games, group singing, a little bit of music learning, and lots of practice, you will learn to be more comfortable contributing your singing voice to the creative ideas you already have! This workshop can be thought of as supportive pre-learning for studying more about musical improv!
